PHIL WALLACE, CEO
Phil began his working career in a firm of London stockbrokers and was recruited by the owner to expand the tiny canned goods importer into an international business by diversifying into frozen foods. He was appointed as export director 3 years later and became managing director in 1980. During the 1980’s he became the majority shareholder, buying founder Eric Muench’s shares over 5 years. He led continued year on year growth and specialised in export sales to the Far East. In 2006 he moved to the role of Group CEO and now oversees all Group trading activity, strategy and direction from bases in the UK and USA.
COLIN DICKER
Colin joined Lamex in 1975 from a background at Lloyd’s of London insurance underwriting and stock broking. Appointed a Director shortly thereafter with a brief to develop and oversee growth in the Group’s European poultry imports whilst personally concentrating on a small group of strategic suppliers and customers. In 2006 he became a shareholder in the Group.
STEVE ANDERSON, President Lamex Foods Inc.
After working in International Logistics for 2 years, Steve Anderson joined L&M Food Group in the UK in 1986 and, in 1987, was transferred from the UK to the newly formed US division.
His brief was to bring the Groups sales and Logistics expertise to the US marketplace. He became the President of the US Division in 1990, the position he currently holds, and now has direct responsibility for the offices throughout the Americas, as well as Russia and China. In 2006 he became a major shareholder in the Group.
MARK BARRETT, Vice President Lamex Foods Inc.
Mark Barrett joined Lamex Foods in 1991 after graduating from St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management.
Joining Lamex as a trainee Mark developed with the organization and has been a strong influence in the growth of Lamex Foods Inc..
He became the Vice President of the US Division in 1997, the position he currently holds, and now is responsible for the day to day operations of the US office as well as maintaining his trading capacity. In 2006 he became a shareholder in the Group.
ROBERT LUCAS
Robert Lucas joined Lamex Foods Inc. in 1998 with the objective of
developing the company’s pork procurement within North America.
Additionally he has developed and currently oversees all company
activities within the Russian Federation and the daily operations of
both the St. Petersburg, Russia and Montreal, Canada offices and in 2006 became a shareholder in the Group.
MARK RYDER
Mark started at Lamex in 1996 after having worked for Kraft Jacob
Suchard for 8 years and prior to that, with MW Marshall, a financial
broker in the city of London. On joining LAMEX, Mark initiated the
imports into the EU from both Thailand and Brazil. Based in the UK with
responsibilities for EU poultry imports and management of the Thai
office. In 2006 he became a shareholder in the Group.
JAMES PARSONS
James started in the meat industry in 1989 working for a small trading firm in Oxfordshire. During this time he developed an in-depth knowledge of the meat industry in the United Kingdom and Europe. In 1998 he joined L and M Food Group concentrating on export to the Far East and Africa from mainland Europe to augment an already very successful department. In 2006 he became a share-holder in the newly formed Lamex Food Group and is co-manager of the London based head office.
DAVID DALZELL
David joined Lamex in 2007 from Grampian Foods where he was Group buyer.
David runs the Irish office and trades in all meat products, with main
focus on fresh and cooked pork products. In 2006 he became a shareholder in the Group.
MARK TOMPKINS
Mark Tompkins
joined Lamex in 1990, having previously spent 10 years in finance in the City
of London. Mark established
and developed the Company’s Frozen and Aseptic fruit business in the early
1990’s, but left the Company in 1995 to further develop his specialist fruit
knowledge. He returned to the
Company in 2001 and has been responsible for developing Lamex’s global Honey and Juice businesses in
addition to having overall responsibility for the Company’s IQF, Aseptic and Dried
Fruit business. In 2006 he became a shareholder in the Group.
HENNY WISSELINK
Henny began his career at Lamex Foods in 1990, previously he had worked for 17 years as an accountant and salesman for an industrial manufacturer in Holland.
He joined Lamex with the task of increasing our purchasing power in northern Europe for products to the Far East specifically China. In the last few years he has also overseen the change within Lamex, Holland from an exporter to an export/importer. He has also been involved in developing business in some of the more esoteric products such as water buffalo from India. In 2006 he became a shareholder in the Group.
He continues to oversee the office alongside Ewald and look for any new opportunities for the company.
EWALD HILFERINK
After completing his education at the school of butchery his career
began at Sturko, this was one of Holland’s biggest pork slaughterhouses.
After this he became commercial manager at a veal meat manufacturer and
responsible for sales to EU.
On joining Lamex Foods in 2002 Ewald started up a new department in the Dutch office to develop the imports of processed and raw poultry products mainly sourced in Thailand. With a team of professionals around him, he has grown this business considerably and has become a driving force within the group for sales into mainland Europe.
He is co-manager of Lamex Foods BV in Holland and responsible for the ever-growing import department.
